1. What was it like using your hand as subject for drawing? I have honestly been fascinated with drawing hands for like the past two years now so it was really fun to start doing it again. My favorite thing that i have been learning to draw is in fact, hands. I enjoyed having this as a project for more practice!
2. What media did you select? I selected just pencil because it is so much easier to control and wont make a huge mess like I know charcoal can be. However, Charcoal would have made a great value effect!
3. How did it feel to create a drawing with your non-dominate hand? It was defiantly different and very uncomfortable but i really enjoyed it because it was something that I never had tried before.
4. Compare/contrast final drawing. Compare: Both are actually fairly good depictions of hands.
Contrast: Of course the dominate hand is more realistic and more finished than the non-dominate.
5. Would you consider using your non-dominate hand to create artwork in the future? I honestly think that that is an amazing idea I would really love to start doing work with my other hand just out of pure fascination for what the outcome would be. I may just try it.
